Directions

  1. Step 1

    Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, mix minced garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, and salt. Cut chicken into small cubes and mix well with the marinade. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.

    Skewer and Grill: Thread 4–5 pieces of marinated chicken onto each skewer. Grill over charcoal or a stovetop grill pan, basting with a bit of oil. Cook for about 3–4 minutes per side until nicely charred and cooked through.

  3. Step 3

    Make the Peanut Sauce: In a small pan, sauté minced garlic (and chili if using). Add peanut butter and water gradually while stirring until smooth. Add soy sauce and adjust salt/sugar to taste. Simmer for 3–5 minutes until thickened. Add a squeeze of lime juice if desired.

  4. Step 4

    Serve: Arrange skewers on a plate and pour peanut sauce on top or serve it on the side. Optionally, serve with steamed rice or rice cakes (not included in cost).
